I remember as a kid coffee was a forbidden drink. It was for adults only. I had plenty of energy, and I'm sure my parents didn't want me to have even more.

Occasionally I would try it, feeling very adult about it the entire time. Drinking coffee is an acquired taste, and I just never took to it.

Coffee Interferes With Your Sleep Patterns

Adults need an average of 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Drinking coffee at any time of day could be affecting your sleep.

This is one of the main reasons I stopped drinking coffee and don't have caffeine anymore. I have never slept better than after I stopped drinking that brown gold.

If you can't go a day without some caffeine consider this. You need coffee because you drank it yesterday, and because of that you didn't get enough restful sleep last night.

If you feel you can't go without coffee for a couple of days in a row, you might want to take a break from it occasionally and see how you feel.
