I think I'm pretty good when it comes to deductive reasoning.  If I see an issue, I can usually come up with an answer to the problem. But, for some reason, I've never been any good at watching mystery movies and coming up with a hypothesis on 'who done it' or figuring out what surprise twist is about to happen.
My wife, on the other hand, is a genius in such matters, which can make for frustrating moments at the theater.
'Sixth Sense' - "Oh! I got it! Bruce Willis is...SHHHH, don't tell me"
'Somewhere in Time' - "I'll bet Christopher Reeves ends up...NO! Don't tell me"
'Aladdin' - "Just you watch, he's going to free the Genie...UGGHHH"
Maybe I could do better if the mystery is performed live just a few feet in front of me...and I'm incorporated as one of the characters.
Murder Mystery guests need to arrive at Stone House Kitchen in downtown Nacogdoches between 7 & 7:30 p.m. Appetizers and a BBQ-inspired dinner will be served.
Now, here's the bad news - tickets for the event are sold out.
But, here's the good news - 10 more tickets are being released for the event at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3. (By the way, if you don't happen to get any of these extra tickets, be sure to put your name on the wait list as sometimes spots open up before the dinner.)
You are encouraged to purchase your tickets as soon as possible so that you can be assigned a character.  By the way, dressing up as characters is HIGHLY encouraged. Characters will be emailed to you the week of the event
After the dinner, it's on with the show that will take place at the annual W.T. Trailer Park BBQ.  That's where you'll find a host of ill-mannered, illiterate, and intoxicated residents that are known for their after-hours fights, double-crossings, and illegal happenings...including murder.
Will it be the avid outdoorsman who is known for accidentally shooting people, as well as game? The crazy cat lover who will defend their felines at all costs? The high school dropout with a bulletproof plan for their future? The maintenance man who can handle any problems, but his own? Or, possibly the parolee who will do anything to avoid going back to jail?
As the night unfolds, you will have to defend your innocence while figuring out which one of your rotten neighbors is to blame for this murderous misadventure!
So, if you want to break out of the mundane normalcy of a dinner date, give this murder mystery dinner a try.  It's delicious, it's interactive, and it's deadly.
If you miss out on this murder mystery, Stone House Kitchen will be hosting another one on Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29. The murder mystery dinner in October will be Halloween-themed called Terror in Transylvania. Tickets will go on sale in September, but they will go quickly, so keep up with the Stone House Kitchen Facebook page.
