The total eclipse of the sun by the moon is a fairly common occurrence in astrology happenings. It's not like Halley's Comet where we have to wait 75-79 years for it to pass by again.

There won't be another eclipse like this one until 2044. So it's still a rare enough event to warrant thousands of people along the path of the totality causing traffic woes.

According to Space.com this event will be a longer duration than the event in 2017 and it will happen closer to major cities. This wider path might lead you to think that everyone will have plenty of opportunity to see it.

What it will do is give more people, who have heard how awesome a total eclipse is, a reason to flock to the path in the millions. Close is not good enough if you want to be thrown into complete darkness during the day.

A few of the best cities in Texas to see this celestial phenomenon will be Dallas, Paris, Waco, and Eagle Pass. Those areas might have more traffic than normal on the day, and you might be stuck for a long time.

Take Precautions To Avoid Getting Stuck In A Lunar Traffic Jam

Take some precautions if you are planning on getting in your car to chase the eclipse that day. Get an eclipse viewer, never stare directly at the sun, and hope for a clear day.
