New Farm Supply Store Coming To Nacogdoches

If you have been down Loop 224 at Stallings Drive recently you might have noticed some dirt work and construction across from Elliott Electric Supply.

What was just an empty field this time last year, is quickly becoming a new store. The walls and many other things are already getting set up for a new Tractor Supply Co. location.

If you love Tractor Supply you won't have to drive into town much longer.

Now that Lufkin and Nacogdoches both have an Atwoods and Tractor Supply Co. Texas fans of both stores have a choice of the popular stores in each town.

Is The New Atwoods In Lufkin Better Than The One In Nacogdoches?

I have a special connection to both of the current Atwoods locations. The Atwoods in Nacogdoches is in the building that used to be Walmart.

I will always remember going there while visiting my grandfather and picking up a model car to build.

The Atwoods in Lufkin is in the old Woolco/KMart building. I remember going for family photo day there, mostly because of all the photos we have.

Atwoods Takes Advantage Of Existing Structures

Tractor Supply in Lufkin also built the building that they are in from scratch. I like the fact that Atwoods takes advantage of existing structures.

The Atwoods in Lufkin is newer and much larger than the Nacogdoches store. I am sure it has a few more things than the one in Nacogdoches, but they are both great.

It's interesting the approach both companies have when starting a new store. Look around the new Atwoods in Lufkin, while we patiently wait for a completely new ranch store in Nacogdoches; not just one built into the side of a Hobby Lobby.
