I have never been to an estate sale. It's just something that I guess I always thought older people did. I have only been to one auction and it was for special vehicles, not just regular cars like dealers go to. So when I was driving yesterday I saw a sign for an estate sale, and considered going.

This one is done by Hicks Antiques & Estate Sales. They are billing it as a huge estate sale. I took a look on facebook and saw a few things that interested me. I've been looking for a chair, this one wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was interesting.

The sale started yesterday, so most of the really great stuff might be gone, but some wait for prices to go down. Today most items are 25% off, and tomorrow (Saturday) it's 50% off. 905 Mockingbird off of South Street in Lufkin. I always thought that was an interesting street, since it was on a dead end.

They are limiting the number of people in the house at one time, and asking that everyone must wear a mask. The sale is going on from 9am-4pm July 9th-11th. If you are into vintage stuff, antiques, these are great ways to find a few key pieces.

I'm not one for clutter, but if the price is right, you never know what I might do. If you have need to have an estate sale, or are interested in going to a few, stop by their antique store downtown.
