I'm a pretty sound sleeper. It takes a lot - I mean, A LOT - to wake me up in the middle of the night. That means that usually I can sleep right through rough weather. It never even phases me. I wake up in the morning without even knowing that there had been bad weather the night before.

But, last night was something different.

I woke up at 3:00 AM to the sound of water pouring down, rain drops being whipped against the window by the wind, and crazy loud thunder.

I live in Nacogdoches. I didn't even know that there was supposed to be bad weather last night. Shoot, I didn't even know that there was supposed to be rain last night, much less thunderstorms. I knew that there was supposed to be a cool front moving through, but not that it was bringing those kind of storms with it.

Did anyone else deal with this? Like I said, I usually sleep through storms. This one last night woke me up from a dead-sleep. Then, when I walked outside this morning, I saw all of the debris that it left behind. That means that it was quite the storm. And me, well, I wasn't exactly expecting that.

The good news is that it looks like those storms were the only ones that we'll have to worry about this week. It looks like pretty smooth sailing, at least according to the National Weather Service. But, this is Texas, so that could change, I suppose.

Did the storms wake you guys up last night? Or, did you sleep right through it? Feel free to let us know your thoughts on it by dropping them in the comment section below.
