Today, September 15th, 2021 is the first day of the Friends of Kurth Memorial Library Book Sale. This will continue until this Friday, September 17th, 2021.

The next three days the sale will be held at the Kurth Memorial Library. They are located at 706 South Raguet Street in Lufkin, Texas.

Books are very inexpensive during this sale. You can get paperbacks 4 for a $1.00. Trade paperbacks and hardcovers are $1.00. Newer releases are $3.00.

How's The Selection?

The Friends of Kurth Memorial Library has not been able to have a book sale since their 2019 event. That means that they are full of books, so the selection has never been better.

That also means that they are not currently taking donations of books for these types of sales. They need to make some room in storage areas with this sale first.

I have gone to this sale every year, and I always find some great books at an amazing price. This is a great way to keep you and your family reading without breaking the bank.

Today, Wednesday, September 15th from 10am - 5pm is the members only sale. If you don't have a membership they are available at the door.

Membership is open to the public with no library card is required. The funds you spend on membership go to support all of the programs at the library.

All forms of payment will be accepted. They take cash, checks, credit and debit cards. These funds are all going directly back into your local library.

Being a friend of KML can also lead to some interesting volunteer opportunities. There is more information at the new City of Lufkin website.
