I had a great time seeing everyone yesterday in the Main Street Lufkin Lighted Christmas Parade downtown Lufkin last night. My arm is still sore from all that waving! I was upset that I missed seeing the winning float from HEB. It reminded me of the giant Grocery Cart in the opening credits of the first Jackass movie. Being in the Parade really hinders the experience apparently.

Floats were judged based on creativity and first-, second- and third-place prizes were awarded in commercial and non-commercial categories.

Texas Home Health won first prize for a commercial business, followed by Southland Rehabilitation Center and A-1 Party Rentals.

Etoile ISD won first place for a non-commercial group, followed by the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office and Kurth Memorial Library.

H-E-B won the grand champion award for best theme interpretation.
