Help Struggling Kids In East Texas This Thanksgiving
The Lufkin Community Partners group is back at it again, organizing help for local families. This time they are turning their attention on CPS families in our area. Thanksgiving is an especially hard time of year for them. So many of them just want to have a nice dinner on Thanksgiving, and can't due to issues relating to why they are under CPS care.
That's where you come in. To extend the reach of what Lufkin Community Partners can do they are reaching out to all of us. They are looking for individuals, groups, churches, and local businesses to fill bags. These bags will be sent out to families involved with CPS.
Any number of bags that you can fill will be greatly appreciated. Fill one, or thirty bags, or really anything you or your organization can do to help. Bags need to contain, 2 starchy sides, 2 vegetables and a dessert.
Drop off food items at the law office of Greg Longino 101 S. First St, Lufkin. Let us know how many you or your organization would like to provide. Respond to their post on Facebook to let them know how many that you can help with.
