How East Texas Knows it’s Fall Ya’ll

We can't expect a nip in the air to clue us into knowing it's fall. You have to patiently wait until all things fall go on sale.  Local bakery Confections is making all kinds of fall themed deserts, so I think fall has officially made it to the Pineywoods. These Texas shaped cookies, will have you reaching into the sweater drawer.

I saw all kinds of pumpkin cookies, and they looked great. The one thing that really got my attention was the pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. If that doesn't say happy fall, I really don't know what else is going to do it for you. I like my sentiments written in frosting.

I have had these cookies and cupcakes before, and no matter what they say on them, they are delicious. They are working hard to have some ready for you today, it is the first day of fall. So if you are in need of something to sweeten up your mood, this is the way to go.
