Introducing The 2026-2027 Angelina County Drug-Free All Stars

The Coalition has released the names of Angelina County's 2026-2027 Drug-Free All Stars.

Drug-Free All Stars History and Purpose

For nearly 40 years, many of Angelina County's standout students have been selected to be members of the Drug-Free All Stars. Every year, these high school seniors are selected to serve as role models for their community by living an alcohol-, drug-, and tobacco-free lifestyle. They are also active throughout the school year, volunteering in Angelina County to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. The Drug-Free All Star program is funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes in Texas.

Drug-Free All Stars Training

Once selected, the Drug-Free All Stars attend an all-day training conference. This year's group was guided through topics they will use throughout the year during their volunteer opportunities, including Youth Advocacy and the Media, Addiction & the Brain, Industry Impact, and 8 Things to Know about Substance Use. Former All-Star Kellen Kruk, along with Shelly Doss from the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council, helped to provide training and insight at this conference.

Introducing the 2026-2027 Drug-Free All Stars

This year's All Stars include 61 students from six Angelina County high schools: Central, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Lufkin, and Pineywoods Community Academy.
