Santa Claus will be making a special visit to the Angelina County Toys for Tots Drive this Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter in Lufkin. At 12 noon, Santa is scheduled to land in the parking lot via helicopter, thanks to the local PHI Air Medical team (the reindeer are resting up for their upcoming worldwide flight).

Kids are welcome to visit with Santa and take photos with him. The main reason Santa Claus is making this Saturday visit is to promote the need for toys for the children that are on the Angelina County Toys for Tots list this year. The Marine Reserves will be set up in the Walmart parking lot from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. The public is being asked to drop off monetary donations or new, unwrapped toys.  All donations will stay right here in the Angelina County area and help put smiles on the faces of over 1900 children.
It will be easy to spot the Toys for Tots 'encampment' in the parking lot. Just look for the military vehicles, classic cars, motorcycles, and fire trucks. Heck, if you have a nice ride that you would like to show off, bring it to the Lufkin Walmart Saturday morning around 8 A.M. and join the fun.
This is such a wonderful opportunity to not only help kids and their families this Christmas season, but also to show your support for the Marines and all the work they do every year to bring smiles to area children.

Most Popular Toys For Christmas 2025

According to a recent survey, the number one item on most kid's Christmas list is games, slime and nostalgia toys. Who knew that kids were actually interested in things that did not involve a screen??!!
