Lufkin’s Tea2go/teaN’ergy Promises A Fresh Take On Tea

When it comes to tea, I'm a very one-dimensional guy. There's sweet tea and unsweet tea, that's about the extent of my knowledge. I know that there are shops that sell different flavors of tea, but I've never been to one. I mean, I know what tea tastes like. What can you add to tea to make that big a difference?

I'm so glad I followed up on that question.

Tea2go/TeaN'ergy Comes to Lufkin

I recently noticed the signage going up for a new 'tea shop' on South Timberland Drive in Lufkin. I was puzzled about how a store could turn a profit just selling tea and energy tea drinks. So, I reached out to the owners of Tea2go/TeaN'ergy (Beth and Josh) to find out if they could give me a tour and educate me. They agreed. After about 10 minutes, I now know what the par'tea' is all about. Just call me Dorothy after opening the farmhouse door to Munchkinland, and everything is now in color.

Teas Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

There's so much to like about Tea2go/TeaN'ergy, but these stood out:

• Almost all of those flavored energy tea drinks are sugar-free and have 10 calories or less.
• Looking for a tea that's good for your heart, a tea that's best for diabetics, a tea that promotes anti-inflammatory properties? They can guide you through their tea selections and their many benefits.
• The caffeine used in their energy teas has different properties than what's normally found in canned energy drinks. The caffeine at Tea2Go/TeaN'ergy will give you a more regulated boost without the midday crash.

The first energy tea I tried was the Supermelon. I was ready to ask for some sugar. No need. It's refreshing, delicious, and hard to believe it's sugar-free. I will definitely download their app and become part of their loyalty program so that I can get started trying out as many flavors as I can.

Grand Opening

The grand opening of Tea2go/teaN'ergy will take place on Saturday, February 14. They are located at 806 S. Timberland Drive and will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. I'll be there with the KICKS 105 Road Show from Noon until 2 p.m. The drive-thru will be open, but stop in to get a tour and get signed up for giveaways. You'll need to enter the parking lot and drive-thru from the north side of the shop.
