Free Police Academy for Interested Teens in Longview, Texas
(KNUE-FM) Being a law enforcement officer in Texas is not easy, but we are fortunate to have so many amazing people that choose to protect and serve. And soon here in East Texas there will be a free teen police academy for those who want to learn more and potentially get into a law enforcement career.
Why Attend a Teen Police Academy?
Many people assume police only write tickets, but that's far from the truth. It would be great if that was all they were responsible for doing but there are much worse crimes that take place and it takes lots of people to investigate, determine fault, and potentially work toward prosecution for those crimes.
There are also lots of things that law enforcement does that makes a positive impact on our communities, which is why teens should take the time to look into this police academy.
