In today's world we see all kinds of marketing schemes. Lots of things like, "If you buy this thing from us, we'll throw this in free!" The ones that come to mind are companies that if you sign a contract with them, they'll throw in a TV. But there was one in Nacogdoches the other day that really caught my eye.

"Free Frozen Treats" Truck Spotted at T-Mobile in Nacogdoches

I was driving down North Street in Nacogdoches the other day, and as I was driving by T-Mobile I looked up and saw a "Free Frozen Treats" truck in front of it. And this wasn't just a local ice cream truck that they brought in. This was an actual T-Mobile vehicle.

Just in case you don't believe me, take a look for yourself:

I apologize for the telephone pole right in front of the truck, but you get the idea. That is a fiber truck, decked out in T-Mobile wrap, offering fiber internet and frozen treats. I think that this marketing probably turned a lot of heads. Not only was it in the bright T-Mobile colors, but it was pretty prominent on North Street.

I don't know who came up with the idea to pair ice cream with internet sales, but I think it was pretty crafty. The only drawback is that you might - MIGHT - not want to associate "frozen" with your internet provider, or internet in general. Other than that, it looks like it was a pretty "cool" idea.

Did anyone else see the frozen treats truck in Nacogdoches, or was it just me?
