Late in 2025 the announcement was made that Marshall's would be coming to Nacogdoches. A quick check to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website confirmed this. It is set to be constructed at 4301A North Street in Nacogdoches. For those of you that don't know, that's the former location of Tractor Supply, the building that's connected to Hobby Lobby.

Is the Building Big Enough?

I'm all about growth in Nacogdoches, and in Deep East Texas in general. My only question is: Will Marshall's fit in that location? I'm not talking about, "Will it fit in with the community of Nacogdoches?" I mean, quite literally, "Will that store fit in the building that is there?"

Marshall's is usually a sizeable store, from the ones that I've seen. That old Tractor Supply location isn't very big, in my opinion. TDLR lists the size as being just over 22,800 square feet, which isn't small, but I'm still sitting here wondering if that's big enough for the new store. To give you an idea of the size, I was able to get this picture from just outside the entrance the other day:

Potential Options for More Space

I will say, there is a fairly big, open area to the side of the current store, where Tractor Supply used to keep their fencing supplies, cattle troughs, etc. I suppose that before Marshall's opens up, they could expand the store out that way, but I feel like that would be quite an expensive change.

However, at the end of the day, my questions could be moot. That building could be just big enough without having to do a lot of construction additions. I hope that's the case.

All I know is that Marshall's is set to come to Nacogdoches sometime in the near future, which is cool! I still haven't heard an official opening date - or even a construction start date - for Marshall's, but when I hear something, I'll let you know!
