
Texas’ Favorite, Whataburger, Wins Again
Whataburger, the much loved, (and born in Texas), fast food chain, just scored another win over competitors in the fast food burger world.
Texans are very particular, (not to mention proud), of certain things and non-Texans would be well advised to show them respect. Dr Pepper, bluebonnets, BBQ and football just to name a few. As for burgers, Whataburger is sacred.
We Texans already knew that but the rest of the world is catching on now and a new survey just gave Whataburger yet another nod - they offer the best value.
Yep, they have the best burger and you get the most burger for your buck.

On top of great taste, fresh, (never frozen), beef and nice, crisp veggies; the Daily Meal says Whataburger also offers the best value to customers.

NetCredit actually did all the research, comparing the price and weight of single patty cheeseburgers from the 14 largest fast food restaurants in the USA. Whataburger, at first, seems to cost a little more. Once you start breaking it down though ...
... patties have a post-cooked weight of 3.56 ounces — nearly the pre-cooked weight of a McDonald's Quarter Pounder — which comes out to $1.66 per ounce of meat. By comparison, McDonald's much smaller (and cheaper) cheeseburger was in second place at $1.91 per ounce. Burger King didn't even crack the top 3, finishing 4th at $1.99 per ounce. - thedailymeal.com

- Whataburger - $1.66 per ounce
- McDonalds - .$1.91 per ounce
- Smash - $1.96 per ounce
- Burger King - $1.99 per ounce
- Wendy's - $2.21 per ounce
Not to mention the fact that Whataburger tastes way, way better. Just sayin' ...
