The crowd funded sequel to the 2001 cult favorite 'Super Troopers" hit theaters late last week, and I was burning up the internet to get my tickets early. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I will say that the movie closely mirrors the first movies story line. Instead of a state vs.local police story, this one pits the guys against the great white north of Canada.

The movie felt familiar, yet updated for this new outing. There was of course a villain, played by an especially leathery Rob Lowe. They also brought back the drugs, this time in the form of pharmaceuticals. Since they are notoriously cheaper in Canada, it made for a convincing plot line.

I went with a group of friends, a mix of people that had and some had not seen the originator movie. It was very funny, especially if you like low-brow humor, and I know I do. Basically if you like the first one, or if you just get dragged to see it, you are going to have a good time.

I think we need more funny, campy movies like this in our lives. Thanks Broken Lizard!

I'm easy to please 5 out of 5 stars!
