Due to a recent revision, things are looking up for local music venues. They aren't able to seat anyone inside, but they can have an event outdoors with social distancing. The one that I noticed today was the Front Porch Distillery in Nacogdoches on Highway 59. I know a lot of us are missing live music, and this could be the responsible way to do it.

There will be live outdoor music this Friday, the "Pickin' on the Porch" series is back Friday Night with local artist Jonathan Webster on stage. There is a slight chance of rain, but it's nothing that will put a damper on the event. The performance is from 7pm till 10pm.

If you are looking for some great food and entertainment this Friday night this is the place. Chambers Smokehouse is a co-host of the event, so you can have some of their famous ribs and jalapeno bacon mac while you are there.

Saturday will be crowd favorite Parker Vinson. The Front Porch Distillery is also returning their hours to normal, just know that they aren't allowing people to sit or congregate inside, just outside with social distancing.

Wednesday and Thursday they are open from 1pm-9pm. Friday from 1pm to 10pm, and Saturday 10am- 10pm. If you are planning on attending I would remember the social distancing guidelines, and bring your mask.

The Front Porch Distillery is a kid friendly and pet friendly venue. They have 8 signature spirits produced in Nacogdoches. To find out more about what I am very sure is our only local distillery, turned outdoor music venue in East Texas, just CLICK HERE to see their facebook.
