Lorde took out a full page ad in her home country's newspaper, The New Zealand Herald, to share her Grammy thoughts.

There are doodles at the top that mention artists like Jay-z, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Stevie Nicks.

The full text of the note reads:

I'm writing this from New York City.

Angela and I sat in Madison Square Garden last night and saw a lot of crazy & wonderful things.

I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for loving & embracing Melodrama the way you did. My nomination belongs to you. Thank you, also, for believing in female musicians. You set a beautiful precedent!
