Two Events In Lufkin This Weekend For Free Pet Vaccines
Pet ownership can get very expensive. You can offset some of those costs by taking advantage of these events in Lufkin this Friday and Saturday.
Free Vaccines At Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter
Get your vaccines at Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter from noon to 5 p.m. at 1901 Hill Street. Thanks to Petco Love, they are offering the following free pet vaccines.
CANINE DAPPv which protects against:
- Distemper: A viral disease affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems.
- Hepatitis (Adenovirus-2): Affects the liver and other organs.
- Parvovirus: A highly contagious virus causing severe gastrointestinal illness.
- Parainfluenza: A virus causing respiratory illness.
These are the free vaccines they are offering for cats.
FELINE 1-HCP which protects against:
- Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis: A herpes virus causing respiratory infections.
- Calicivirus: Causes respiratory infections and oral disease.
- Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper): A highly contagious and often fatal viral disease.
These are all vaccines that your dog or cat needs annually.
It would be best if you also visited your veterinarian yearly for a rabies shot. They are not offering that service because a vet must administer it to your pet.

They will have free first and second puppy vaccinations and free cat vaccinations. All of the other services are offered at a lowered cost.
