Many of us played with Lego when we were kids. I know I had a huge collection with all kinds of wheels and motors.

Now, Lego has gone high tech. I regularly watch Lego Masters, and the motors that are used with the bricks from Denmark now use apps and tablets to control them.

Lufkinite Corry Lankford is a huge fan of Lego and has made an amazing, large-scale Star Wars display called "Journey to a Brick Galaxy," and now we have a chance to see it in person.

Any Lego or Star Wars fans would love to check out this exhibit. I am into both, so I know I would get a kick out of seeing these award-winning spaceships made out of bricks. According to the Lufkin Daily News, he showcased the exhibit at Brickworld Chicago.

Out of the more than 2,900 builds at the convention, his received the Judges Award. He was also awarded the "White Brick" award.

Unlike the "Golden Brick" from Lego Masters that keeps you safe from elimination on the show, this trophy is given to presenters who do great public service work in their community.

Though he has exhibited his Lego model all over the state and country, this is the first time that it will make its way to his hometown.
