Miliyah Kato is getting the Disney treatment.

The Liberty singer will release "Doko Made mo ~How Far I’ll Go~," the Japanese version of Moana's Academy Award-nominated title track, on March 1, just ahead of the film's March 10 release nationwide in Japan.

This week (Feb. 7), the J-pop superstar unveiled the cover art for the CD and CD+DVD versions of the single, her 38th release overall.

"I've been doing music for about 12 years now, and I've never had a feeling like this. I was really happy because this was something that I really wanted to do. It was like being in a dream," Kato said of the opportunity (translation via JPopAsia).

Much like in the West, securing the theme song of a massively popular Disney movie is likely chart gold: three years ago, the Japanese version of Frozen's "Let It Go," performed in the film by Takako Matsu and in the ending credits by May J., reached No. 2 and No. 8 on Billboard Japan's Hot 100.

The original version of "How Far I'll Go," written and produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, was performed in the film by Auli'i Cravalho. Alessia Cara recorded the song for the Moana soundtrack.

Miliyah Kato first debuted with her studio album Rose in 2005.
