Every year, around this time, an annual event takes place at 1430 North Mound Street in Nacogdoches. That location - if you didn't know - is the address of Christ Episcopal Church. It's actually located on the corner of Starr Avenue and Mound Street...but that's beside the point.

The real thing that we're getting to here is an event that is held on the property. That event is the annual pumpkin patch. The area isn't a very large one, but each year around Halloween, that area is loaded with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

And actually, we weren't sure if there would be a pumpkin patch or not for 2020, due to COVID-19 restrictions. But, there's now a sign up that has us confident that it's coming. This is what I'm referring to:

No, I still haven't heard a definitive date or time about the arrival, but the fact that this sign exists has me - and a lot of other Nacogdoches residents - pretty excited. It's just something that we look forward to every year. I've been going to that same pumpkin patch every year, for as long as I can remember. People bring their kids for pictures, their pets, and many of them buy a pumpkin - or several - to decorate. It's a very nostalgic thing.

So, even though we haven't heard an exact date, we're still excited to know that even with everything that's gone on this year, this annual event will still take place!
