Over the next few months...no, the next few years, Nacogdoches will be seeing lots of changes. Most of those changes are the direct effect of the future I-69 Corridor. There are already changes being made, as the land is cleared and prepped for new the new road construction.

So, naturally, this is a chance for Nac rumors to begin to form. Is there any validity to them? Maybe, but they haven't been confirmed yet - at least, not to us.

One such rumor is the possibility of a second Raising Cane's location, on the south side of town. As of right now, Nacogdoches just has the one location across the street from the SFA campus, at 1831 North Street.

However, we were asked the other day if that was going to be changing soon. Someone said they thought that they had heard some talk of a second Cane's location opening up somewhere around where the road construction is taking place. As I think about it, I can see the possibility of this. I mean, the old Valero on the corner has been completely cleared, and so has the old Dairy Queen location. And those are just two possible locations. There are lots of vacant spots up and down that stretch of road that could - and probably will - house new businesses in the future.

Now, let me clarify something. We have no insight into this possibility of a second Raising Cane's location. However, we are asking if anyone else has heard this. If so, let us know in the comment section below.
