Free Pumpkin Party To Go Before Halloween In Lufkin, Texas
There were many events planned for Friday, October 28, 2022 that didn't happen because of the high chance of rain and high winds. It just wouldn't be an enjoyable time to be outside.
The inaugural Boo Bash in Downtown Lufkin that was to replace the downtown trick or treat was completely canceled. During that event, the Museum of East Texas had a pumpkin party planned.
The rain didn't stop all the pumpkins from being delivered and the pumpkin party will go on. Now it's a Pumpkin Party To Go, and it's free.
Get A Free Pumpkin To Decorate At The Museum Of East Texas
The museum knows how to pivot, so instead of canceling the event they just postponed it and made it a to-go event. You can stop by the Museum this Saturday or Sunday from 1 pm - 5 pm to pick up your pumpkin, decorations, and some candy, so you can take this party to the house.
They have already updated their website, and facebook page with all of this new information and we have pumpkin sightings already. See this huge Brookshire Brothers semi-truck full of pumpkins arrive at the museum.
I'm glad to see that everyone can still get into the fall spirit with the Museum of East Texas, even if we can't all decorate our pumpkins together. While you are there, pick up their new fundraiser graphic tee.
The Museum Of East Texas is just another great part of the community in Lufkin. They do lots of things like this for the kids to continue their primary mission of educating with their exhibits.
