Nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh announced today that he is facing "advanced lung cancer". The announcement was made on his radio show, which can be heard in Shreveport and Bossier City on 710 KEEL.

From the Washington Examiner:

"Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh revealed that he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

On his radio show Monday, Limbaugh, 69, also said that he would likely miss some time on the program while he undergoes treatment."

Rush has been a part of KEEL radio for years, with a dedicated radio audience in the Shreveport area. For his entire run in the market, Rush has experienced consistently high radio ratings.

Just last month, Rush announced a new deal, which is set to keep him on the air into the next decade. That new deal is reportedly for a 4-year term. His previous contract lasted for 8 years.
