Seriously, What’s So Great About These Things?

Today is National Gummi Worm Day. Why is there a day dedicated to these little sugar treats? That is a question that I honestly can't answer...

Really, what's the hype behind these things?

As you have probably already guessed, I'm not a huge fan of this particular candy. I never have been. However, when I was growing up - and even now - tons of my friends were big fans of gummi worms...It's like they couldn't get enough of them...

I'm not trying to be difficult, or anything like that. I'm generally curious as to what people see in these things. Are they that tasty, and I just don't have a taste for them? Or, is it something else? Again, I don't know what it could be, but since I'm not a fan, I don't think I'd be able to see it anyway.

If you could clear this up for me, or at least point me in the right direction on what I'm missing here, that'd be great. I'm legitimately curious. Who knows? Maybe someone could even point me in the direction of a gummi worm brand or type that I might like. Then, I'd be celebrating, too.

Until then, I'll just wait to see if someone can shine some light on what's so great about them that makes them worthy of getting their own national day...
