Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Portions of Deep East Texas
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7 this evening for portions of the Brazos Valley, Deep East Texas and the entire Houston Metro area. Trinity, Houston, Polk, and Tyler Counties are the only counties in Deep East Texas included in this particular watch.
Strong to severe thunderstorms could bring heavy downpours, frequent lightning, gusty winds, hail and even an isolated tornado to the watch area or even near the watch area. As of this posting, Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties are not included in any severe weather watches or warnings.
