The Angelina County Fair is just around the corner and once again area special needs kids are invited to participate in Reach for the Stars.  This is a livestock show recognizing the talents of special needs youth from Angelina County.

Exhibitors are paired with their 4-H/FFA buddies to show their animal and walk away with the pride of knowing they can succeed in the show ring.  Animals such as goats, lambs, and rabbits will be provided by Angelina County 4-H and FFA members who have signed up to volunteer their time and services.

As exhibitors, these children sill have the opportunity to 'Celebrate the Possibilites' available to them, and work with volunteers to learn about livestock or participate in the cooking show.  The event is free, but they must pre-register by March 20th.

Reach for the Stars will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 5 p.m. in the main arena of the George H. Henderson Expo Center.  For more details, please go to the Angelina County Fair website, or call Danielle Chumley at (936) 634-5989 or Karen Stafford at (936) 671-0519.

A special thanks to Chloe Murray, Asa Clary, Dalton Clary, and Luke Whisenant who stopped by the Merrell in the Morning Show to tell us about the event.
