This neighborhood convenience store was robbed overnight Tuesday Night/Wed Morning at 1:30am. They assaulted the clerk, got money out of the safe, and were on their way in 20 seconds. We have had an outbreak of these flash crimes, and that seems to be the latest way for criminals to try to avoid getting caught. The Lufkin Police Department and Crime Stoppers are looking for leads on this case.

SUPER S ROBBERY: Around 1:30 this morning, Super S at 702 Southwood Drive was robbed by two men with a gun.

The clerk was stocking shelves when two men wearing all black clothing – one of them with a red handgun – ran into the store.
One of the men went to the clerk and hit him in the back with the gun, knocking him to floor.

The other man went to the store’s safe and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

In less than 20 seconds, the two men ran back out of the store and fled the scene.

The clerk did not report any injuries in the incident.

The store is under new ownership and recently began staying open 24/7.
