A few weeks ago I was driving home from work on Highway 94, just west of Loop 287 in Lufkin.  I was passing the Buck's Cup of Joe location in Hudson and I saw someone waving a sign in front of the store.

There's A New Candy Shop In Town

The sign was informing all passers-by of the opening of a new candy shop.  I'm not ashamed to say that for the most part, I'm a kid trapped in an adult's body.  When channel surfing, I will choose a Disney classic above everything else.  One of the main reasons I got into radio is because with this job I never really had to grow up.  Another example of my child-like behavior is whenever I see the word candy or chocolate, it's like a dog reacting to a squirrel.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop at this new candy shop, but I made it a point to find out what it was and then stop in for a visit.  The name of the shop is La Princesa Dulceria & More.  Their official address is 2584 Ted Trout Drive in Hudson.  There are several businesses within that location including Buck's Cup of Joe.

They specialize in carrying a wide assortment of sweet and spicy Mexican brands of candies.  They also carry pinatas, and they can special order pinatas as well.  Need helium for your balloons, La Princesa can help you out.  Of course, they carry their own balloons as well.

La Princesa Dulceria is also branching out into other areas as well.  They carry a growing line of purses and jewelry.

I'd be lying if I told you I had heard of most of the candies that they carry.  But, after hearing V. Hernandez give a description of them, I would like to try them all.  I have included a huge photo gallery of all that they carry.  Be sure and check out the video of Hernandez giving an in-depth description of all the candies and everything else they carry at La Princesa.
