If you are looking to hit all the festivals you can in Texas, there are some great ones. Our very own Texas State Blueberry Festival in Nacodogdoches enjoys patrons from all over Texas and surrounding states. The Texas Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill, Texas is between Houston and Austin, and is a 2-3 hour drive according to where you live in Deep East Texas.

The event certainly qualifies as a day trip with a quick trip down Hwy 59 towards the Woodlands. The Chappell Hill Historical Society puts together this festival every year. They are a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of historical buildings in Chappell Hill, Texas. They put on a great festival, and they are also working to preserve our Texas State Flower, the bluebonnet.

The 2020 official Bluebonnet Festival of Texas is going to be here before you know it! It is scheduled for April 18 & 19, 2020. Come out to the little town on the hill and shop with over 250 arts and craft vendors and enjoy musical entertainment throughout the day. Bring the kids! Tons of children's activities. Admission is FREE! Parking is available for $5 per vehicle.

The best part about the festival is the small town flair, with big city vendors, music, and fields of bluebonnets to take pictures in and of till your hearts content.
