Things You Never Do In Lufkin

There are different rules for small town living. In the big city you can walk around enjoying all your anonymity. Here you are constantly on watch, so stay busy.  Our little slice of the bible belt is different than anywhere you will ever live. If you are new to the area, here are a few things you should never do in Lufkin.

If you think I have exaggerated, well think again. Worse than living in a small town where you actually know everyone, is living in a small town where people just think they know everyone. It''s impossible to know everyone in Lufkin. The 2020 Census will come out, and I think the town has grown by at least 10,000 people in the past 10 years. Who knows, if they do their jobs and really count everyone, it could be even more.

You can do all these things if you really don't care what people think. I know these might not apply to you, most of us would like to think they don't. I've done about 50% of those things before, and I'm still here. I just know better than to say which ones. To play the game, you got to know the rules.
