Here we are once again, with a new Nacogdoches Police Department Pet of the Week. It's kind of a neat thing to watch and see what kind of pet they will feature each week. Maybe I'm the only one who gets excited about them. Who knows?

Either way, the Nacogdoches Police Department Facebook page has the newest Pet of the Week post on it now. This week's pet is Melody. Melody is a seven-year-old Calico/Tabby mix at the Humane Society of Nacogdoches County. Here's the post, so that you can see her for yourself:

As you can see from the post, Melody has been at the shelter since February, and is still waiting on someone to come and take her to a forever home.

If you're looking for a pet, maybe you should swing by 3211 NW Stallings Drive in Nacogdoches - that's the address to the animal shelter, just in case you weren't sure - and meet Melody. If your approved to adopt this Pet of the Week, you also get a voucher to local vet clinics that will cover the spay/neuter process, plus rabies vaccinations.

And, if Melody isn't what you're looking for, maybe you should swing by the shelter anyway, and see if one of the other animals could be the one you're looking for.

You can keep up with the Pet of the Week posts from NPD by checking out the Nacogdoches Police Department Facebook page.
