Toys For Tots in Lufkin Huge Success

Every year, folks from across the area step up in big fashion to help kids in our area by donating new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots drive. This years event was held in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center with a concert this past Saturday. All kinds of musicians from the Lufkin High School Choir who kicked it off, to Rock group Sabine that closed the show were great.

I got a chance to stop by when Sabine was playing and I thought they did an awesome job. All the toys and donations generated from this event will stay in Angelina County. I can imagine that all the guys are delivering the toys that we all dropped off right now, just in time to be placed under a Christmas tree this year. This was an amazing night and I hope they decided to do a benefit concert again. Even my son that usually can't let go of a toy dropped one off for the second year in a row in the picture below.
