Well, it's summer for sure. All it takes is one step outside to make you realize that we are still right in the middle of the hottest part of the year. But, up until recently, we haven't really dealt with really bad temperatures here.

But, that might change this weekend. Look at the forecast for the next seven days from the National Weather Service:

That you've seen the forecast for the next seven days, I want you to focus a little closer on Saturday and Sunday. Check it out:

Can you see those numbers a bit better?

Saturday, the high temperature is forecast to hit 101°F. Then, Sunday isn't much better, with a high of 100°F. Those are triple-digit temperatures. TRIPLE. DIGIT. TEMPERATURES.

THAT. IS. HOT.

So, if you're out and about this weekend, please make sure to stay hydrated, keep the sunscreen handy if you're going to be out in the sun. Or, better yet, try to avoid being out and about as much as possible. Maybe you should look into some indoor activities with the family and/or friends.

Also - lots of people forget this - please make sure that you keep your pets hydrated, too. They need water just like you do, and they're going to be suffering in those high temps, too.

Those triple-digit temperatures can be pretty dangerous. But, it's not like we haven't seen them before, and it's not like we won't see them again. Just be safe, stay hydrated, and try to stay cool.
