The annual VFW Fall Carnival is always a great way to have some family fun close to home, while supporting our local Lufkin VFW Post 1836. This year they have moved the dates up.

The new dates are set before the first official day of autumn this year. The VFW Fall Carnival will be a great way to pre-welcome fall back to East Texas after a scorching summer.

Things will hopefully cool down enough for you to enjoy the carnival on Thursday, September 7  -  Sunday, September 10, 2023. There is still time to plan to be out at the carnival with the family.

Get Ready To Ride The OMG At The VFW Carnival In Lufkin

The Heart of America Shows has been in operation for over fifty years. They will bring over 40 state fair-style rides to the VFW located at 1800 Ford Chapel Road.

The big kids love the Jungle Twist roller coaster, Kamikaze, Gravitron, Tsunami, and the massive OMG.

There will be something to ride for all ages like the Gator Roller Coaster and the Merry-Go-Round inside the mini park for the little ones. As always there will be free parking and free admission.

JJ Moreno with the Heart of America Shows is always so inviting and has live music planned for Friday and Saturday nights. I'm always down for a free concert.

This is our local VFW's biggest fundraiser of the year. All of the profits will directly benefit their operation and outreach that they provide to veterans.
