Video of ‘Suspicious’ House Fire In Lufkin

Early Tuesday morning around 3:32am a house fire was called in to the Lufkin Fire Department. A neighbor near the blaze at 419 Laurel Avenue near Dixion Furniture called 911. Lufkin Police & Fire posted this video with the entire 911 call in hopes of helping Lufkin Fire Marshal Steve McCool with his investigation.

SUSPICIOUS HOUSE FIRE: We responded to a house fire early yesterday morning at 419 E. Laurel Ave.

A neighbor called 911 to report the blaze at 3:32 a.m. Firefighters quickly got on scene and knocked the blaze down within minutes.

The home is a rental property and was vacant at the time. No injuries were reported.

Lufkin Fire Marshal Steve McCool is calling the fire “suspicious.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Lufkin Fire Marshal's Office.
