Think back to last year - October 4, 2017. I gave the opinion that October 4th should be observed as 'Smokey And The Bandit Day'. I've got it documented and everything. You can check out the article here.

Now, if you've never seen the movie - first of all, you need to fix that IMMEDIATELY - you probably won't know that we're referring to the drivers using CB radios and using the phrase "10-4". See? October 4th, also 10/4 or 10-4! It just makes sense.

Plus, with the passing of Burt Reynolds last month, who played Bandit in the Smokey And The Bandit movie, making this the official 'Smokey And The Bandit Day' would be a pretty awesome way to honor his memory.

So, if anyone has any pull and any way to make this happen, I say go for it. Maybe a petition, or maybe you have the ear of someone high enough up to make this a thing. If so, I say go for it.

It might be a little late to get this to be an 'official' thing this year, but we can start with 2019, and every October 4th from then on! October 4th should be known across the nation...no, across the world...as 'Smokey And The Bandit Day'! That's a big 10-4, good buddy!
