Texas Targets Whippets: New Bill Seeks to Curb Nitrous Abuse
Whippets have been around for over 30 years in Texas. Some head shops even sold crackers, cylinders, and balloons for the delivery of the intoxicating nitrous oxide.
No longer a niche thing that people do occasionally, social media is telling kids about this hack to get high. Legislators in Texas are doing their best to keep this intoxicant with its debilitating long-term effects away from minors.

According to KTRE, House Bill 666 (could we not just skip that number?) has just been proposed by Senator Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola). The legislation focuses on stopping people under 21 from purchasing nitrous oxide in Texas.
