Documentary Features Aryan Brotherhood Of Texas In Lufkin And Nacogdoches
A new docuseries now streaming on Max hits close to home. It's touted as a Max Original Four-Part Documentary Series called The Takedown: American Aryans.
I have watched the first three episodes and it was all about the criminal organization and their penchant for murder. Though the gang was started in the Texas prison system, it quickly spilled out into neighborhoods all over Texas.

The Tomball area is heavily featured in those first two episodes. When you get to episode 3, it is all about Deep East Texas. Someone came here with a camera and got B roll in many of our cities and towns.
Lufkin, Etoile, and Nacogdoches Are All Heavily Featured In Max Docuseries
The episode features details about the 2007 murder of Lufkin woman Christy Rochelle Brown. I saw Kristen Reid from Lufkin talking about her friendship with Christy.
They also featured Brown's daughter, and she recounted how her mother was taken from her at only 7 years old. It was all so sad.

There was footage of Lufkin and Nacogdoches landmarks, businesses, and more popping up on the screen while they recounted the murders. It was very surreal.

Max Series Focuses On The Aryan Brotherhood Of Texas In Lufkin And Nacogdoches
Issues of race, drugs, and murder are featured in this all-access documentary. They focus on Richard Boehning of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and what he did to bring the white supremacist gang to justice for their crimes.
