Casa of the Pines is hosting a Superhero 5K and virtual 13.1 Solo or Relay and Brunch on Halloween Saturday, October 31st. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero. The in person 5K starts at Mount Olive Church near the Larry Bruce Gardens. Registration is 35$ for the 5K, and is going on now.

The virtual 13.1 Solo or Relay is for a single runner or a two runner team. Registration  is $30 per person or $60 for a single runner. I was interested on how the virtual run would work, it's a great idea due to Covid-19, so I checked their website.

Runners will complete the Virtual Half Marathon Solo or Relay (1 or 2 person team) on the weekend of October 31, 2020. Once completed they will email the recorded race path mapped via a race/jogging/tracking app (screen shot or another form of transmission that proves the run happened that shows date, distance and time) to admin@casapines.org.  A participation medal and
race shirt will be mailed to the runner after the completion email is received.

Updated info on the run will be located at http://www.casapinessuperherorun.com/ which you can also navigate to by clicking here.

You can also help support CASA by bRUNching at the fabulous Larry Bruce Gardens. Instead of running in the Superhero race, or in addition, you can run to the table and enjoy brunch, including a mimosa bar.

The run will be in the Ratcliff Lake area which will take runners through the Davy Crockett National Forest. You'll be whizzing past beautiful East Texas scenery dressed as Superman or whoever you chose.
