Well, it seems that summer is indeed here. It just takes one step outside of the air conditioned indoors to draw that conclusion. Temperatures are much higher, and it's not an enjoyable experience to take a stroll outside.

I mean, sure, the sunshine is great, and if you have access to a pool or make a trip to the lake to get in the water, it's a fun experience. But, if you're just heading outside, it's a bit too hot for that - at least in my opinion...

That's one of the reasons that I'm looking at this weekend's forecast. Today, according to the National Weather Service, or NOAA, our high temperature is predicted to hit 96°(In case you didn't know it, we're also in a heat advisory here in Deep East Texas).

By Sunday, our high temperature is predicted to be 99°. But, that's two days away. What if that forecast changes a bit? You know just how quickly the weather here can change. Sometimes it changes for better, sometimes...well, not so much.

So, will this weekend be the one? Will this be the first weekend that we see temperatures hit that triple-digit mark? If you haven't experienced them, temperatures over 100° are not too enjoyable...shoot, if you HAVE experienced them, they're not too enjoyable...

We're definitely keeping an eye on the forecast to see how it will go over the weekend. We're busy wondering if it will stay in the 90s range, or if it will top that 100° spot...

Until then, if you're going out and about, be sure to drink lots of water, apply sunscreen, and don't get overheated...
