Everyone is looking for a fun, free event for their children to attend this Halloween in Lufkin. In the past, it was the Downtown Trick-or-Treat, but now it is something completely different.

If you have heard of the Boo Bash before it's because they were going to have it last year. It was rightfully canceled at the last minute because of a huge storm that came into Lufkin that Friday.

This year the Boo Bash is back on again, but for the first time, so it's a little confusing. Visit Lufkin is gearing up for a great event, and hopefully, the participants will get some fresh candy to pass out.

The City of Lufkin and Visit Lufkin have put this event together to be a safer, more controlled event than the downtown Trick-or-Treat was. I also believe the way they have it set up will make it more inclusive.

The Downtown Trick-or-Treat had outgrown the area, and this new event will allow the kids to trick-or-treat longer. The old event was only from 3-5 PM when downtown businesses were open.

The Halloween Boo Bash on the Plaza will be in the plaza at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in downtown Lufkin from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, October 27, 2023.
