The unwanted pet population in all of Angelina County is exploding. Shelters are full of litters of puppies and kittens.

Most puppies and kittens are born in the spring or summer. Having this many in the winter is already pushing the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter to capacity.

When animal control shelters are full that means they have to euthanize to make room for more. The one way to make sure this all goes away is to use the low-cost spay/neuter programs we already have in place.
