A Helping Hand To Fight Hunger This Holiday Season In Lufkin
The Deep East Texas Resource Center, a program of the East Texas Food Bank, will be back in Lufkin to continue its mission to fight hunger and feed hope. The next free drive-thru food distribution will come just in time for the Thanksgiving holidays.
They will be at the George H Henderson Expo Center located at 1200 Ellen Trout Drive in Lufkin Tuesday, November 23rd from 10 am - 12 pm. The food will be freely given, while supplies last.
There is no paperwork and the event is open to everyone. You can even pick up food for a friend or a family member with a note. The note must have their signature, printed name, and a statement that you are permitted to pick up food for them.
Car Pool With Other Families
If you have a group of friends that would like to go to the distribution you can ride together. There is a maximum of four households that can be served per vehicle.
It is drive-thru only, and walk-ups are not accepted. You could walk up to the new food pantry at 105 Lofton Street in North Lufkin.
The Deep East Texas Resource Center is open there from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm Tuesdays through Fridays and from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm Saturdays.
