UPDATE - According to Sheriff Greg Sanches, the subject has been caught.  There are some reports on social media that Lamar was apprehended in the attic of a house that he had broken into.  The Sheriff will pass along official details soon.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Department along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, as well as other law enforcement agencies have converged in northwestern Angelina County, around FM 2021 and Ransom Brown Road.  According to Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches, authorities are searching for Nathan Lamar, 19, who is considered a suspect in a recent rash of burglaries.

According to reports, in the process of apprehending Lamar, the suspect ran into the woods off of FM 2021 and remains at large.  An exchange of gunfire was also reported by the Angelina County Sheriff's Office.

A Facebook post by Sheriff Sanches alerts residents of the situation and to steer clear of Lamar, and to call 9-1-1 should he be spotted.  Sanches describes him as armed and dangerous.
