Butterfly Release Highlighting Abused Children
A family friendly, fun event is coming to the Farmers Market in Lufkin
Lufkin Community Partners have put together this event at the Angelina County Farmers Market on Saturday September 16th. Stop by 2017 South Medford Drive in Lufkin to see all the butterflies. It will get underway at 4:30 pm and culminate with a live butterfly release at 7 pm.
Those are just the details, the WHY is so much more. This is a community awareness event that will highlight our communities organizations that assist children. These kids are the victims of abuse or neglect right here in Angelina County.
There will be many things set up to enjoy while you are there. Informational booths to get educated on these different organizations and what they do to help children in our area. Food vendors will be set up during this time as well. There will be face painting and other fun diversions for the kids till it's time to release the butterflies!
