It's Christmastime in Texas and that means a hometown Christmas parade. Lighted Christmas parades at night have become a tradition in Texas.

When that parade makes its way down Mainstreet all lit up, it really stirs the Christmas spirit. This year the Nine Flags Festival Lighted Christmas Parade returns to Nacogdoches.

The Nacogdoches Nine Flags Festival Lighted Christmas Parade is on Saturday, December 2, 2023 and it starts at 6:30 PM.

There will be lots of events during the festival, and one of the best is the parade. The theme this year is "Christmas Around The World".

New Parade Route For The Downtown Nacogdoches Christmas Parade

The parade is put together by the Nacogdoches Area United Way. There is still time if you or your organization want to be a part of the procession of lighted vehicles and people.

Winners in the parade will be announced at the Party in the Park after the Christmas parade. They will be winding a new path across downtown Nacogdoches this year due to construction.

This year the parade will begin on Mound Street and travel through downtown before heading down Pecan Street. People wanting to get the best view of the parade will be in Festival Park.

The parade will go around the park area, go across Craven, and then go back up South Fredonia Street. The parade will then take Main Street to Mound Street and end at the Thomas J. Rusk Elementary School.
